Shabbat Youth Groups meet in the social hall located downstairs, on the lower level of the Synagogue. Groups are held for children from the age of 4 and fully toilet trained through age 11.

Groups begin at 9:30 AM and last until approximately 11:30 AM. Please do not drop your children off early. There will be no supervision before 9:30 in the morning.

General Groups are lead by youth group leaders who coordinate discussions and games.

Junior Tefilla program for children between the ages of 7 -11 starts at 9:45am, for approximately 30 - 45 minutes. The goal is to read (and sing) parts of Pesukei De’Zimra and other portions of Shaharit with the children reading alternately.  Meets on the upper level of the Synagogue, in the room next to the women's section.

On Shabbatot where we experience nice weather, we make use of the playground across the road. It is very important from a safety perspective that all children listen to their group leaders especially when off Shaarei Orah grounds.

Please do not send your child to groups with any kind of candy or snack. WE ARE A NUT FREE ENVIRONMENT. Snacks will be provided and distributed during Shabbat groups. In addition, children should not come to groups with toys, games or balls from home.

Each child that is dropped off at groups must have a parent in the building.  Those children who choose not to join groups must be sitting next to a parent in the Synagogue. It is unsafe for children to be roaming the halls unsupervised.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
